The slender, soft-spoken boy now looks taller than Raul Licon Jr., the man who pleads not-guilty to multiple felony charges. In a detective’s statement, Raul Licon Jr. is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, and employed as a California fire fighter. The alleged victim stated that he was 8 years old when Raul Licon Jr. married a female relation and entered the boy’s life.

Igor, who asked to have his last name omitted to protect his privacy, has been working to come to terms with the sexual abuse in his childhood. However, while finding support among friends hasn’t been challenging, finding a support group for sexually abused men in Regina has proved impossible. A group is necessary, he believes, to give men battling both the horrors of sexual abuse and the stigma still present in society.
Penn St president: School is covered for lawsuits — Penn State is adequately covered to handle lawsuits stemming from the sexual abuse scandal that has enveloped the campus, its president said, repeating that the university hopes to settle many of them ”as quickly as possible” even though its insurer has sought to limit claims. Rodney Erickson told CBS’s ”Face the Nation” program in an interview taped for broadcast Sunday that the university has general liability coverage like any institution of its size.
Police: Woman abused children — Police this week accused a Claysburg woman of serial child molestation, saying she raped and assaulted a series of preteens and young teenagers – even allegedly forcing one to sexually assault a 5-year-old girl while she watched. Tabatha Partsch, also known as Tabatha Sossong, 39, of 367 Metzgar Lane faces 18 felony charges for alleged actions over the last year, including recording her alleged crimes with a cellphone and repeatedly exposing children to online pornography.

Retrial for woman convicted of sex abuse — A FORMER housemistress who was convicted of sexually abusing six boys at a prestigious school has been granted conditional bail after an appeal court quashed her conviction and ordered a retrial. The woman, 43, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was sentenced to at least five years’ jail for having oral sex and sexual intercourse with six boys, who were aged 11 or 12, over a five-month period in 2009. “For many years, measures taken in this country for handling sexual assault cases have been more likely to focus on female victims. It is also easy for parents to ignore [the problem],” she said.
Rise in sex abuse of boys — The number of male children and teenage boys who were the victims of sexual assault in Taiwan last year surged to 910 from 81 in 2002, a more than 10-fold increase during the period, according to Ministry of the Interior statistics released yesterday. In an international conference held on the treatment of such victims, Lee Mei-chen (李美珍), executive secretary of the ministry’s Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention Committee, attributed the rise to an increase in the number of cases coming to light, as well as an increase in the number of cases of consensual intercourse.
Suspended priest arrested over 1997 abuse allegation — A Roman Catholic priest in Philadelphia was arrested on allegations of sexually abusing a 10-year-old boy in 1997, the city’s district attorney announced Friday. Andrew McCormick, 56, has been charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, corrupting the morals of a minor, indecent assault and indecent exposure in connection with the alleged 1997 incident, Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams announced Tuesday.
Teenage boys tell of abuse by Bedlington charity founder — THE founder of a children’s charity plied teenage boys with alcohol before carrying out sex attacks, a court heard yesterday. Mark Andrew Watson is accused of abusing the two 15-year-olds who he drove to his Northumberland home after befriending one of them online. The 44-year-old, who set up the Trinity Youth Association in Bedlington, faces one charge of rape and 11 others including sexual assault, grooming and possessing indecent images of children.
