Boy abused by man ‘four times a week’ for three years, Bristol court told — A man raped boys as young as ten, including one who he abused four times a week for three years, by grooming them with computer games, a court heard. The trial at Bristol Crown Court heard the older alleged victim met Walford through a young girl who lived at the defendant’s house in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
Boys should have the right to say no to feminism — The evangelical drive to teach boys to be feminists reached a new high last week with the news that every 16-year-old in Sweden is to be given a free copy of the book “We Should All Be Feminists”. The short essay, based on a 2013 TED talk by the Nigerian novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, has become a sacred text for those who share Yvette Cooper’s belief that “we need our sons growing up as confident feminists”. So should we welcome the crusaders who wish to convert our male progeny to the “one true Goddess” of gender politics, or should we teach our boys to become free-thinkers who can choose for themselves whether they want to be feminist or not?

Domestic Violence Is Gender Blind, Unlike the Activists — Aiola Virella, editor in chief of Metro Puerto Rico, is a strong advocate for the victims of domestic violence. Well, actually, she only seems to care about half of those victims. As is often the case, this career journalist used her Twitter account on November 25 to share a video regarding domestic violence with the hashtag #PazParaMujeres (Peace for Women). I responded to her post by asking if it shouldn’t instead be #PazParaTodos (Peace for All)?
Domestic violence reports rise in Suffolk with 2,000 involving male victims — Suffolk Constabulary recorded more than 9,000 incidents of domestic abuse between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2015 – a year-on-year increase of 12.6%. Around 23% of victims were male. Despite thousands of incidents being recorded by police every year it is still thought domestic abuse is vastly under-reported as it is often hidden from everyone except the victim and perpetrator.

I was raped by another man. Here’s why I’ve decided to write about it — Rapist. It’s a word that, even years later, seems too dirty to say. Rapist. The two syllables that i have replaced his name with. Rapist. The man who fucked with my head more than any part of my body. I was 16 years old. The 2012 Olympic games were taking place in London. My quaint little hometown of Weymouth hosted the sailing events, and I ended up as an Olympic attendant, serving food to athletes and their crews. Not a bad first job, I guess.

Sitting in a conference room in downtown Minneapolis Sunday, camera lights lit up the wall behind him, creating the backdrop that would conceal his identity. “I don’t want to say I’m here reluctantly,” he said at the start of his first television interview. “I’m here uncomfortably.” John Doe 157 filed a lawsuit Nov. 23 against the Boy Scouts of America’s Northern Star Council.
Research highlights “gray cases” in child abuse — Each year, more children in the U.S. die from child abuse and neglect than pediatric cancer. Last month, Yale-New Haven Hospital pediatrician Barbara Chaiyachati published the paper “Gray Cases of Child Abuse: Investigating factors associated with uncertainty” with the aim of identifying just these cases, based on the nature and context of children’s injuries as well as their family’s social and medical history.
