It happens every day. In fact, it is pretty hard to avoid it. There are some things that can only be understood with a slap on the forehead. Things so mind-boggling that one wonders how humans managed to evolve thumbs while being this mentally inept. Case in point:
For some reason, Hilary Clinton ignored the lesson John Edwards learned when he hired on feminist bloggers as campaign officials. Instead, Hilary decided to bring on Zerlina Maxwell, a feminist blogger and talking head noted for her solution to rape and her argument that people should automatically believe women who claim rape:
Presidential candidate former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s campaign has expanded its team by bringing on a writer whose has previously written that those accused of sexual assault should automatically be treated as guilty, regardless of the actual evidence brought against them.
Late Thursday, news emerged Clinton’s presidential campaign hired writer and political analyst Zerlina Maxwell. Maxwell is intended to help the campaign with its digital outreach efforts on issues like feminism and gender equality.
But as was pointed out first by Jonah Goldberg of National Review, Maxwell has previously written sexual assault allegations should always be believed, regardless of the evidence, while downplaying any harm that may occur from false accusations.
Back in 2014, shortly after claims of a gang rape at the University of Virginia started to fall apart, Maxwell authored a column for The Washington Post on the matter. By the time it was published, Jackie Coakley’s claims to have been raped were falling apart, but Maxwell said that didn’t matter.
This is the person Hilary wants in charge of her social media outreach? Someone who uses a block bot on Twitter? Someone who considers all males potential rapists until they are taught otherwise? Someone who would support a person who clearly lied about being raped?
Granted, this seems a perfect for Hilary. Last week the former Secretary of State penned an article for CNN about prison reform. Her article did not concern all of the two million inmates currently in United States prison. Hilary focused on the ten percent of inmates who share her sex. The female inmates deserve recognition and special treatment, while the male inmates apparently have no problems worth addressing, including no risk of rape inside or outside of prison.
However, I think we should thank Mrs. Clinton. This makes it much easier to not vote for her.
